For the publisher:

I met Steven Cole in 2016 when I was a Fall River city councilor. At this time, Fall River was looking to update their city charter and it was strongly recommended that I contact Steven for advice on the process of creating a self-reliance charter. I have spoken to him on the phone several times, exchanged numerous emails and he has even been to Fall River twice to participate in information boards, although there is no compensation.

I take pride in reading people and can say that my first impressions of Steven were correct and lasting. What struck me about Steven was his willingness to share information about the charter process, his passion when we talked about what “good government” looks like, his real fondness for Newburyport and how about which he spoke enthusiastically about his family. I was fortunate enough to chair the Fall River Charter Commission and it was invaluable to have Steven’s guidance throughout the process as he held the same position in Newburyport. I can unequivocally state that his guidance throughout the nearly 2-year charter process helped Fall River successfully create a self-reliance charter that voters overwhelmingly supported.

I offer my wholehearted support to Steven Cole for the school committee. As a man he has strong family values and I know he has represented and will continue to represent the best interests of the people and the school district he serves.

I cannot stress enough my confidence and respect for Steven Cole. I believe the citizens of Newburyport are fortunate to have an elected official of his caliber.
