Nova Blaq seems to have been showing a lot of heat over the past few months and are set to release their debut EP on September 16th.

Considering the type of year he is having – his 7 nominations at the Ghana Music Awards USA 2022 to be precise, what a time for the rapper to announce his next project. The perfect icing on the cake, right? Right. But it looks like Nova Blaq isn’t an outlandish sucker. The US-based Ghanaian rapper recently updated his Instagram bio section unbeknownst to most, spreading the word in the most understated way. There’s an extended game on the way, and September 16 is the release date.

Nova Blaq Crime of Passion

Reaching out to the ‘Dark Knight’ star via phone, Nova Blaq shared all the juicy details about her upcoming project, ‘Crime of Passion’: “It’s going to be a mix of 9 sounds that I take inspiration from.” He continued, “I draw from different genres for this one, mainly Drill but also Afrobeat, Hip-Hop and even 80s pop music. You know, I came from humble beginnings and although this album doesn’t sound maybe not like that, that’s where he comes from – a place of humility”.

“It’s hard, abrasive but vulnerable. It’s very progressive too. That’s the best way for me to describe what’s to come until it reaches the fans. There are songs you can play to pump yourself up at the gym or before a game and songs you can drive late at night or in the rain. I think those are times that a lot of fans and listeners can fit into. What is it about? Well, human nature as we know it is perfectly flawed and to me, that’s “crime of passion”. From there, my sound will only become more progressive because I feel my role as an artist is to take risks that advance culture and inspire others.”

One of the hottest rappers of late, the Kumasi-raised New Yorker could be in line to drop one of the hottest projects of 2022, giving fans a full understanding of what the up-and-coming artist is all about. . Save this date!
