Even though the Pocket PC is still available for preorder for $ 199, the Popcorn Computers development team has released the open source design files for the Linux laptop. The small pocket PC is capable of running Debian 10, Mainline Linux and is compatible with Gadget OS and Buildroot and comes with an open source keyboard and LED controller firmware.

“Finally, a portable Linux device with a 1080p high definition display and great battery life. Pocket PC is your hacker terminal on the go. People should be able to use their devices however they want. It is on this premise that we based Pocket PC when we started the development of this device. This is the device we have always dreamed of owning, which is why we made it. In today’s tech landscape, there are plenty of Android and iOS devices out there, but Linux-based ones are largely ignored.
