EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is a summary of crime reports from the Greeley Police Department daily logs. Only a few of the hundreds of reports will be used in this weekly column due to space limitations.

August 19

5am: A caller from the 2000 block of 6th Avenue reported that a friend of a neighbor had entered the laundry room to urinate on the laundry.

8am: A caller in the 2800 block of 35th Avenue reported a dog ran away from a pet store.

12 p.m.: A caller in the 2200 block of 12th Street reported that a stranger in the alley was looking over people’s fences and shouting profanity.

12:30 p.m.: A caller near North 59th Avenue and Weld County Road 64 reported a goat or sheep crawling through the fence.

1:15 p.m.: A woman from Greeley reported that her neighbor had been watching and stalking her for a year. She said it started when he left her a rose on her porch, but then left a huge bouquet with a note and a phone number.

3:30 p.m.: A caller in Greeley feared his daughter was stealing the caller’s $30,000 book collection.

9:30 p.m.: A caller in the 3100 block of 23rd Avenue asked what to do after his dog fell ill after eating dog food at the supermarket.

20 August

2h45: A caller in the 2500 block of 29th Street reported a barefoot man wandering outside the hotel.

9:30 a.m.: A caller near 11th Avenue and 26th Street reported a person wearing “junior” sunglasses standing outside the seafood restaurant.

10:45 a.m.: A caller in the 3000 block of 42nd Avenue Court reported a neighbor for spraying flowers and plants on his property.

12:45 p.m.: A caller in the 4500 block of CenterPlace Drive reported a customer threatening to use pepper spray on people and children inside the store.

21st of August

5:15 a.m.: A caller near Weld 64 3/4 and 23 3/4 reported that a vehicle had missed the turn and driven into the field.

7:30 a.m.: A caller in the 1600 block of Glenmere Boulevard reported a man in the bushes painting bicycles.

10:30 a.m.: A caller near 25th Street and 29th Avenue reported someone dropping large bags of poisoned cat food in the neighborhood.

1:45 p.m.: A caller in the 4400 block of CenterPlace Drive reported someone walked into Target with a screwdriver or knife in their hand.

2:30 p.m.: A caller in the 2000 block of 25th Street reported that the miners were dressed in black and practicing their “gang whistles” on the playground.

5:45 p.m.: A man in the 2200 block of 16th Street reported people trying to kick him and his children off the field to play football.

10:30 p.m.: A caller in the 3500 block of 24th Street reported a loud boom caused by a gunshot or flash vibrating through the floor.
